We are able to offer Video (Telemedicine) Consultations rather than ''Face to Face '' Consultations to comply with Government restrictions. The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons ( RCVS)  our governing body,   have temporarily reduced the usual requirements on our prescribing medication after a Video Consultation but it is likely this will only last for the time of the current National Emergency period.

Our Video (Telemedicine) Consultations are secure (https) and by a web browser (all supported such as Safari, Chrome or Firefox) and will work with all smartphones  (eg Apple, Google, Sansung, Andriod, etc ) and any Computer with a camera and microphone (including Windows, Macs and Linux)

This Video Consultation will allow our veterinary surgeons to discuss your concerns and see your pet thus allowing us to give you appropriate advice.   If the Veterinary Surgeon considers it is appropriate,   they can also prescribe medications that can either be collected from the surgery at a set time or be sent to you by recorded delivery ( ''fridge Items'' can not be sent out by post but will always have to be collected from the Surgery).

Please contact our reception team on  01708 384444  and we can provide more details about the service and costs for a Telemedicine consultation.

How does it work ? :-

1. You Telephone the Surgery   - 01708 384444 -   to arrange a Telemedicine Consultation.

2. If it is agreed by our staff that there is need for a Consultation then we will agree a convenient time slot for your Telemedicine appointment and check all your contact details.

3. You will be asked to pay for the consultation at the time of the booking - by paying you will have agreed to proceed with the consultation and reserve your appointment time - this is a non-refundable payment if you subsequently cancel the appointment.

4. Just before your Appointment time you will be sent a Text and Email inviting you to a ''Vidtu meeting'' with the link and a PIN code and you just need to click on the link and enter your PIN to start the consultation.

4. If, during the Telemedicine consultation it is decided by the Veterinary Surgeon that your pet needs to come into the Surgery to be physically examined (or for further investigation or a surgical procedure) then you will only be charged the difference between the Telemedicine Consultation and our Normal Consultation fees.

5. All drugs, further investigation or surgery will be in addition to these Telemedicine Consultation fees but you will be given full details and an Estimate.

Telemedicine Consultation Terms and Conditions :--

1. Our vets will be able to give general advice, help monitor and update treatment for all pets that are already under our care.

2. We may be able to provide veterinary attention to new cases (or new clients) where no other more suitable arrangements can be reasonably made.   Depending on the individual circumstance of any request   -   the final decision to conduct a Telemedicine Consultation will be made by the practice.

3. Telemedicine Consultations can only be booked once our team agree it is appropriate to do so.   In the first instance you must call the practice,   where the options available will be discussed with you.

4. Any agreed Telemedicine Consultation must be pre-booked and is subject to availability - our appointment time slots are markedly reduced at this current time.

5. Fees will be charged in line with our standard Telemedicine Consultation fee. Payment will be taken at the time the appointment is booked.   Payment for any further treatments or medication will be taken after the consultation.   The practice will advise you how medication can be obtained or if they can be posted to you (an additional Recorded Delivery charge will apply).

We will be available only during the following times:-
